April 18, 2019 – April 19, 2019 (9am to 5.30pm)
Ignition & Movement Series: Part 2 ~Primitive Reflexes and the Outside World
Our second workshop in this series for Craniosacral therapists
We will look at the relationship between the primitive reflexes and birth and the role of these reflexes in assisting the baby’s adaptation to gravity and maturation of the central nervous system. This includes muscle tone and muscle organisation guiding the infant through the three-dimensional motor, emotional and neurological developmental milestones.
We shall explore developmental movement patterns for ongoing integration, therefore suppporting efficient whole brain and body organisation.
Practical application: You will gain an understanding of the primitive reflexes in the birth process and their role in physical and emotional development. You will be able to identify underlying retained primitive reflexes through observational skills, client history, and awareness through field of attention and somatic processes. In other words how the early story shows up in the baby, child and adult in therapeutic practice as language/dialogue, physiological responses and posture.
Full fee: $475. Early Bird Fee $450 (paid in full 3 weeks before the workshop) for both Part 1 & 2 paid together: $825.
Course notes, light vegetarian lunch, gluten-free lunch and refreshments provided.
